Schedule 02
Schedule 02: PNL Timesheet
Price, limits, and app-specific rules for PNL Timesheet.
Version 2026-10-13 · Effective October 17, 2026
Part of the Proto Node Labs Terms of Service.
App: https://clock.protonodelabs.com
Plain summary
- $20 per month includes 20 active workers. Each additional active worker is $1 per month, counted nightly and prorated.
- Workers clock in and out on the web, a kiosk, or a phone. Each punch records the time and, when enabled, the device's GPS location and accuracy.
- The time records are yours. You can export them as CSV, PDF, or a full JSON backup at any time.
- You are responsible for telling your workers about location capture and for getting any consent your state requires, and for your own wage and hour compliance. Timesheet is a record-keeping tool, not payroll and not legal advice.
1. What is included
- Business account with an owner login and unlimited administrator and manager roles within your worker count.
- Worker profiles: name, email, phone, PIN, pay type, hourly pay rate, and charge rate (entered by you).
- Clock in and clock out by web, kiosk PIN, or the mobile app, with optional GPS capture and geofencing per business or per worker.
- Shifts, time off and PTO tracking, tips, and edit history (audit log of old and new values with who changed what and when).
- Reports and exports: CSV, PDF, and a full JSON backup of your account data, available to the owner at any time.
- Email support under section 12 of the Terms.
2. Price
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Base subscription | $20 per month |
| Included | 20 active workers |
| Additional active worker | $1 per worker per month |
Prices exclude taxes. No setup fee for self-serve sign-up. Any import or custom setup work is quoted separately and is non-refundable once started (Terms section 4.8).
3. How quantities are counted
3.1 Active worker. A worker profile that is not deactivated at the time of our nightly sync. Deactivated workers do not count and their records are kept. Owner and administrator accounts that also clock time count as workers; an owner account that never clocks time does not.
3.2 Sync and proration. Each night we send the active worker count to Stripe. Changes are prorated within the billing period, so adding 3 workers mid-month costs a fraction of $3 for that month and $3 per month after. Reducing workers creates a prorated credit on your next invoice.
3.3 Reactivation. Reactivating a worker counts them again from that night.
4. Limits
- No hard cap on workers; the overage price applies to every active worker above 20.
- Export and report generation may be rate-limited to protect the service.
- Kiosk login attempts are logged with IP for 24 hours to prevent abuse, then purged.
5. Location data and geofencing
5.1 When GPS capture is enabled, each punch stores the latitude, longitude, and reported accuracy from the worker's browser or device at the moment of the punch. We do not track location between punches.
5.2 GPS accuracy depends on the device, signal, browser permissions, and settings outside our control. A punch may be recorded with poor or no location data. Geofence results (inside or outside) are computed from the reported position and are informational. We do not warrant the accuracy of any location reading, and you should not take adverse action against a worker based on location data alone.
5.3 Notice and consent are your responsibility. Several states regulate employee location tracking and electronic monitoring, including notice and in some cases written consent requirements. Before enabling GPS or geofencing you must give each worker the notice your jurisdiction requires and obtain any required consent. Suggested notice text you may adapt:
[Business name] uses PNL Timesheet to record your work hours. When you clock in or out, the app records the time and, if location capture is turned on, the GPS location and accuracy reported by your device at that moment. Location is not tracked between punches. These records are kept by [Business name] for payroll and compliance and may be exported. Ask [contact] with any questions.
This text is a convenience, not legal advice, and may not satisfy your state's requirements.
6. Punches, edits, and the audit log
6.1 Workers' punches are recorded as entered. Administrators can edit punches; every edit is written to an audit log with the old value, new value, editor, and time. The audit log cannot be edited or deleted by Users.
6.2 You are responsible for having a lawful policy on editing time records and for reviewing edits. We do not review or approve edits.
6.3 Rounding, overtime, break, and pay calculations follow the settings and rates you enter. Verify them against your pay rules before using exports for payroll.
7. Wage and hour compliance
7.1 PNL Timesheet is a recordkeeping tool. It is not a payroll service, does not calculate or withhold taxes, does not file with any agency, and does not determine employee classification, overtime eligibility, or meal and rest break compliance.
7.2 You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legal sufficiency of your time and pay records, for retaining them as long as the law requires (federal rules generally require at least 2 to 3 years; some states require longer), and for exporting them before your subscription ends. Section 9 of the Terms governs how long we keep data after cancellation.
7.3 Any claim by a worker or agency about pay, hours, or monitoring is your responsibility under section 20 of the Terms.
8. Your records and export
8.1 Time records, worker profiles, and audit logs are Customer Data and belong to you.
8.2 Export CSV, PDF, and a full JSON backup from the owner dashboard at any time during your subscription and during the 30-day retention window after it ends.
8.3 Worker accounts are deactivated, not deleted, while your account is active, so that historical records stay intact. Deletion follows Terms section 9.
9. Data this app collects
Worker name, email, phone, PIN (hashed), pay and charge rates, pay type; punch timestamps; GPS coordinates and accuracy when enabled; shifts, PTO, time off, tips; audit log entries; kiosk attempt IP (24 hours); sign-up IP; session records. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle it.
10. Mobile app
The PNL Timesheet app for iOS or Android, when available, is for signing in and clocking time. Location permission is requested only when your business has location capture enabled. Terms section 26 applies.
