Schedule 05: Website Hosting

1. What is included

• Hosting of the site we built or migrated for you on our infrastructure (currently Cloudflare Pages or Vercel).
• Your domain pointed at our hosting, with DNS, SSL certificate, and the protection layer managed by us.
• A working contact form that delivers messages to your inbox.
• Uptime monitoring and fixes when the site breaks for reasons within our hosting.
• Email support under section 12 of the Terms.

2. What is not included

• Content changes, copy edits, new pages, new images, or new features. We quote these per request and tell you the price before we do the work.
• Domain registration or renewal fees. These are yours, paid to the registrar.
• Email hosting, unless separately agreed.
• Fixes for problems caused by changes you or a third party make to the site, DNS, or domain.
• Any guarantee of search ranking, traffic, or leads.

3. Price

Prices exclude taxes. Month to month, no minimum term, cancel any time with effect at the end of the paid period.

4. Your domain

4.1 Registered in your name. The domain is registered in your name and in your own registrar account, or in an account we create for you that you control. We may manage DNS on your behalf while you host with us. If a domain was registered in PNL's account for convenience during a build, we will transfer it to your account on request at no charge, subject to registrar transfer rules (typically a 60-day lock after registration or transfer).

4.2 Your expense. Registration and renewal (roughly $10 to $15 per year at cost through Cloudflare or your registrar) are paid by you. We do not mark them up or take a cut. If we pay a renewal on your behalf by agreement, we invoice it at cost.

4.3 Lapse. If your domain expires because it was not renewed, your site and any email on it go offline. We will remind you where we can, but renewal is your responsibility. We are not liable for a lapsed domain or for a domain taken by someone else after expiry.

4.4 Leaving. Point the domain at another host and you are off our hosting the same day. Nothing to request and no exit fee.

5. Handoff and off-plan responsibility

5.1 At the end of a build you choose whether to host with us or take the site. Either is fine. If you take it, we hand over the site files at no charge, and the site is yours to host.

5.2 After handoff off a plan, upkeep is yours. Once the site is in your hands and you are not on a hosting plan with us, we are not responsible for uptime, fixes, security, backups, form delivery, or changes. If you later want us to host it again, we may need to review and quote any work required to bring it back.

5.3 If you cancel hosting, we keep a copy of the site files for 30 days so you can request them, then delete them under Terms section 9.

6. Site content and your responsibilities

6.1 The content on your site (text, images, logos, prices, claims about your business, reviews) is Customer Data and yours to own, license, and keep accurate. We write copy from material you give us during a build; you review and approve it before launch. After launch we do not monitor your content.

6.2 You are responsible for your site's legal compliance: any privacy notice your visitors need, accessibility requirements that apply to you, consumer protection and advertising rules, and any industry rules. We will add a basic privacy notice page if you ask.

6.3 Contact form submissions are delivered to the inbox you give us through our email provider and may pass through our systems. We do not keep a separate copy beyond delivery logs unless your site is connected to PNL-Ops, in which case Schedule 06 applies.

7. Chatbot, if your site has one

7.1 If your site includes an AI chatbot, visitors' messages are sent to a third-party model provider (currently OpenAI) to generate answers from a knowledge base about your business that we build from material you provide. Terms section 11 applies.

7.2 Answers can be wrong. The chatbot may give inaccurate or incomplete answers about your prices, hours, services, or policies. Its answers are not offers, quotes, or commitments by you or by PNL. You should keep the knowledge base current by telling us about changes (knowledge updates are quoted per request unless we agree otherwise) and should display a notice to visitors that answers come from an AI and may be wrong. We include such a notice by default.

7.3 The chatbot may be rate-limited or disabled if a provider outage, cost spike, or abuse requires it.

8. Availability and fixes

8.1 We monitor uptime and fix breakage within our hosting promptly during business hours. We do not offer an uptime percentage or response-time guarantee. Hosting platforms we rely on may have outages outside our control (Terms section 21).

8.2 We may move your site between hosting providers for cost, reliability, or security reasons without changing the price, and will tell you if the move requires any action from you.

9. Data this service collects

Site files and content; contact form submissions in transit and delivery logs; chatbot conversations (sent to the model provider, stored briefly for debugging); cookieless analytics counts if enabled; your billing and contact details. See the Privacy Policy.

Previous versions

This is version 2026-10-18, effective October 18, 2026. This version removes the optional monthly content retainer, which is no longer offered. Content changes after launch are quoted per request. Nothing else changed, including the hosting price.
